Edmund Ng Architects combines horizontal white strips and unfinished concrete to create a composite cuboid form. Crisp edges coupled with a neutral palette lends the structure an understated elegance. The exterior also incorporates béton brut, intentionally exposing the raw concrete in an industrial minimalist style. Support beams inside are also left exposed, unifying the interior and exterior.
Black lines are used to guide the eye and elongate the space. Wood brings warmth to the interior, creating a beautiful juxtaposition with the cool concrete. The rooms are spacious and airy. Entire walls of windows add to the openness and bathe the interior with natural light.
