CONCRETE HOUSE

Standing out for its modest size and minimalist look, the home is clad entirely in concrete with no windows in sight from the front, presenting itself as a shroud of mystery, peace, and zen-like tranquillity altogether.

Tall, wide windows gracing the sides of the building break the monolithic appearance of the concrete exterior, adding verticality and rhythm to the piece. Their elongated form draws the eye upwards, creating a sense of elevation and grandeur, further expanding the space from within. The placement of these windows also function to allow mass volumes of light to echo throughout the open living space.

While the building maintains a predominantly fixed block shape, there are certain rooms where the windows deviate from conventional alignment with the walls. Instead, they are angled differently, creating a distinctive interplay of light and shadow from various parts of the house.
