STAIRCASE HOUSE

A vertically slim home especially structured to live up to its name. The narrow width and build of the home draws greater attention to the central design element – a black spiral staircase that twirls poetically at the end of the living space on the first floor.

The black staircase features wooden steps and thin black rods extending from the base of the stairs and onto the floor as a form of aesthetics and support. Past the stairs, one enters a narrow hallway surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows that recur throughout. This creates an outdoor experience without needing to compromise on the comforts of being at home.

On both the upstairs and downstairs, wide, open-spaced rooms are exhibited without any deliberate constructions done to partition or segment out the areas. This allows its occupants full reign and flexibility to design the space however they wish to suit their palette. At the same time, easy changes can also be executed by simply reshuffling the furniture around.
