ONE ROSYTH

One Rosyth is a 17-unit condominium in Yio Chu Kang Road, which stands out immediately as the architecture is layered with acrylic panels to create a hologram-like presentation of the condominium.

Edmund wanted to highlight the screen that clads the building and choosing the right material was crucial. In the end, he chose aluminium panels that had been perforated with holes of three sizes, a solution he adapted from acoustic sound barriers he saw in China and Thailand. The panels also created a parallel effect during different timings of the day as the blazing sun creates shadows of nearby trees, dancing around the building.

One Rosyth was also featured at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Edmund being one of the two Singaporean architectual representatives.
